I am very grateful to have had the opportunity to meet and learn from the Academic Mentoring Program in the Faculty of Livestock Fisheries & Nutrition, Wayamba University of Sri Lanka. The wisdom, knowledge, and encouragement I gleaned from my Mentor were invaluably helpful to take a great turn in my entire academic life. The framework of the academic mentoring program was an aid to setting the goals and achieving them on time with a balanced mixture of both the extracurricular activities and the course-works. It also opened my eyes to the pathways I could take after graduating from university and how to reach them successfully. Therefore, I would like to state that the Faculty Mentoring System has enabled me to make the journey toward a professional path as a university student with great success.

The Academic Mentoring Programme of the Faculty of Livestock, Fisheries & Nutrition, Wayamba University of Sri Lanka, made a positive impact on my life. It was a great opportunity for me to become an all rounded-graduate with academic qualifications, soft skills and was led to look outside the classroom for personal and professional development. One of the biggest strengths that I gained through this mentoring program was that helped me to identify and correct gaps in my generic skills and knowledge. My Mentor always encouraged me on my future plans and gave me enormous support to build my career path. This programme helped me to develop my leadership skills, and problem-solving skills and boost my confidence both personally and professionally. Finally, I would like to forward my gratitude by heart to all the responsible members for the tremendous guidance and enormous assistance provided to all of the FLFN undergraduates and graduates.
